About
The Full Story
I am a mom, wife, daughter, sister, friend, and a therapist. I am also a Brazilian, a BIPOC woman, and someone who has experienced what it means to navigate different cultures, identities, expectations, and ways of seeing the world.
My personal experiences have deeply influenced the way I see people and the way I practice therapy. I believe that who we are today is shaped by many different experiences: our family, our relationships, our culture, our communities, our childhood, and sometimes even the experiences and patterns that have been passed down through generations.
Sometimes we know that something isn’t working, but we don’t understand why we keep finding ourselves in the same place. We may struggle with anxiety, shame, perfectionism, grief, relationships, family wounds, or a feeling of disconnection from ourselves. We may look like we have everything together on the outside while feeling very differently on the inside.
I believe that there is meaning underneath these patterns, and that understanding them can create the possibility for change.
My journey
Before becoming a therapist, I studied Architecture. This taught me to see patterns, structure, space, beauty balance, and the relationship between different elements. It taught me to look beyond what is immediately visible and to understand how different parts come together to create a whole.
I bring that same curiosity into my work as a therapist.
I am interested in looking at the bigger picture, not only what is happening in your life today, but also the relationships, experiences, beliefs, and patterns that may be connected to it.
My own experience of moving between cultures has also shaped my work. Being from Brazil and living within different cultural worlds has given me a deep appreciation for the complexity of identity, belonging, family expectations, and the ways culture influences how we understand ourselves and our relationships.
I speak both Portuguese and English, and I welcome clients from diverse cultural backgrounds.
I am LGBTQIA+ affirming and sex-positive.
How I work
My work is deeply informed by transpersonal, relational, systemic, trauma-informed, and attachment-based psychodynamic approaches. I firmly believe that therapy should not be about fitting you into a specific model or dictating who you should become. Instead, it is about creating a space where you can explore, understand, and reconnect with yourself.
I am particularly interested in the relationships and systems that shape us. Our families, our culture, our communities, and our experiences all influence the way we learn to relate to ourselves and to others.
Sometimes we carry wounds, beliefs, or ways of relating that once helped us survive or belong, but no longer serve us.
Together, we can explore these patterns with compassion and curiosity.
Beyond the therapist
Being a wife and a mother has also shaped who I am. Family relationships are deeply meaningful to me, and I understand that they can be both beautiful and complicated.
Life can bring joy, love, grief, conflict, change, and uncertainty, all at the same time.
I also find connection and restoration through nature, water, mindfulness, and meditation.
A space for you
I don’t believe you need to have everything figured out before coming to therapy.
You don’t need to know exactly what is wrong or have the right words to describe what you’re feeling.
You can simply begin where you are.
Whether you are experiencing anxiety, grief, shame, perfectionism, relationship difficulties, family wounds, or a sense that you are ready for something to change, we can begin by becoming curious about your experience.
You are welcome to bring your whole self.
